A Sweater Vest Worn 3 Ways

I kind of love that some 80’s and 90’s styles are back this fall! Though someone on Instagram said they wore these in the 70’s and I most definitely remember seeing this pic of (and blogging about) Paul McCartney:

Not Your Daddy’s Sweater Vest

Although I was talking about an open front vest at the time, I’d like to think I saw this trend coming.

I sort of missed wearing these when they made a resurgence in the 90’s, so I decided to give it a go this time around!

Remember this?

1. The first way I wanted to wear it was with a bold pattern mix because I’d read that was a trend this fall too:

Tee // Vest // Dress // Boots

2. Next, I thought about a casual cool way I’d seen these worn as a teenager:

Tee // Vest // Jeans: option option // Boots // Bag

3. Lastly, I thought of an edgy going-out look:

Vest // Faux Leather Pants: option option option // Boots

How about you? Would you wear it?

If you’re looking for an easy way to get dressed this fall, I highly recommend Outfit Formulas by Get Your Pretty On. The Fall Capsule Wardrobe includes styling a sweater vest several different ways.
