Sentence a Day

January 2019 Sentence a Day!

Welcome to my first Sentence a Day post in 2019 and the first in quite a while! I used to love making these posts, and I want to get back into it this year.

Have you tried this type of journaling? You simply write a sentence about your day for a month. By the end, you’ve got a pretty accurate snapshot of what your life was like. It’s super easy to do and it’s the easiest form of journaling for busy mom like me.

Without further ado, here are my January 2019 Sentences!

The first day of the year calls for a Target and coffee run!

I had my last doctor appointment today with this doctor since hubs got new insurance. I am NOT happy and I’m so glad I’m getting a new doctor. Turns out, the medicine I’ve been on for like two years wasn’t even necessary. It’s been messing me up really bad for pretty much all of 2018 and she denied that my symptoms were even connected. (These symptoms are listed on the bottle.) So so so frustrating and I feel like I’ve lost two years of my life.

  1. I am so glad you are back! Have missed hearing from you. Hope the detox-ing from that dreadful medicine is behind you and you have your life back. Thank goodness for new insurance and better doctors.

Love that you are teaching art! I was an art ed major. Then, when I retired, I did a brief stint working for Young Rembrandts. Have you heard of that program? Your students are blessed to have you teaching them Kandinsky and the Blues. Great pairing.

Bravo to your daughter on her gymnastic accomplishments. And to you for taking barre. I took two classes and they about killed me. I think I am probably old enough to be your grandma’s grandma, though, so maybe that’s why.

Love the snow photos. Do you have to make up snow days? Hope you have a restful, restorative weekend. Welcome back!

    1. I’ve not heard of Young Rembrandts! I’ll have to look that up. I LOVE art. I love teaching it! I’m hoping once I start to feel better, I can get back to it!
You are not old enough to be my grandma’s grandma! haha! You crack me up!
As far as snow days, as long as we get 180 days (4 hours a day) of school finished, we can take the days as we see fit. However, that means sometimes we have to tack them on at the end of the year and the kids HATE that. So I’m much more mindful of the days we take off.

  2. I spent a lot of January Marie Kondo-ing and my bedroom has never been tidier – I love it! That snow looks like fun. We’ve only had one day of snow where I live in the UK, and I’m not sure when the next batch is forecast. Hope that by the time you are doing the February Sentence a Day that medicine is well and truly out of your system!

  3. School gymnastics & barre… isn’t it funny how life is so much routine???
I always have to clarify too – I’m NOT Marie Kondo-ing- making it a verb 🙂 haha
That snow!!!!!! It looks so heavy – perfect for snow ball making!
