Hello there! It’s been a while, but it’s finally FALL, and I’d love to share some fall fashion ideas with you! Summer is lovely, but I get burned out fashion-wise about half way through. There’s only so many shorts and tshirt variations you can come up with! I think I can safely say that fall is my favorite fashion season! Today, I want to start with a basic that works for all seasons, but is especially fun for fall: the black jumpsuit!
Jumpsuits are probably the easiest pieces of clothing I own. There’s just something about a one-and-done outfit that makes me feel put together with minimal effort. I mean, hey! At least you know your tops and your bottoms are matching! ha!
Jumpsuit: Gray Monroe (Similar)(Similar)// Sandals: Jack Rogers // Straw Bag: Amazon
// Jewelry: Walmart 5$ and Gifted
An all black jumpsuit provides the perfect blank canvas. I love adding gold and neutral accessories and let the simplicity speak for itself.
One Sunday, I wore this jumpsuit to church with the family. It had been a long time since we’d been to church together and I needed something super easy to pop on so we could get there in time.
Jumpsuit: Old Navy (Similar)// Shoes: Crocs (Exact) // Blazer: Apt. 9 thrifted from Schoola.com (Shop my referral link for 10$ free!)// Perforated Bag: Old Navy last year (Similar)
Adding a structured blazer dresses up this jumpsuit and adding a fall print shoe brings it into fall.
Have you tried jumpsuits yet? They are one of the things I was always told bigger girls can’t or shouldn’t wear. (I’m a size 12) But I’m so glad I didn’t listen and gave them a try anyway! My advice for trying your first jumpsuit is to get one made of jersey (stretchy material) because they are very forgiving. But don’t size down! The temptation is to go a size down when you buy something stretchy, but don’t. It provides better drape with the material, and won’t turn see through when you sit down. Then add structure on top such as a vest, jean jacket, or blazer for an instant cute outfit!
If you end up trying jumpsuits, let me know and I can feature you here on the blog!
Much Love,
~Jamie
