Hey there! I hope this finds you well! I’m sitting here binge watching Friends and thought I’d round up some posts you might have missed this week. It’s been a crazy busy week over here! How about for you?
As for me, I’ve been having SERIOUS Olympic withdrawals. ha! Now don’t laugh, but I went and bought like twenty books online. I happened to be browsing for schoolbooks for the kids on ThriftBooks.com and I may have gone a little overboard. (definitely) I’ll have to show you once they all come in. I will never apologize for having too many books in my house! Which I definitely DO! See?
Here’s an outfit where I mixed polka dots and stripes. And I realized I hardly ever mix prints and this outfit makes me want to do it more! See the post HERE
Cute, right? Plus, it had the red, white, and blue thing going on in honor of the Olympics!
I posted my February Sentence a Day and I realized that I had quite the crazy busy month! I guess everything is always crazy busy over here! ha! Check it out HERE
This week, I cooked my family’s favorite dinner! It’s been a while since I’ve made it and they were all very happy campers! I saw this recipe on The Chew like a year ago and I’ve been making it ever since! Check out the recipe HERE
I started a fun style challenge!
We’re styling our favorite band tees and graphic tees using the hashtag #bandteesaturday and I’ll be featuring my favorites on Insta and here on the blog! I posted an #BandTeeSaturday inspiration post HERE and I’ve got a Pinterest board with more inpspiration HERE
So, as you know, I’m doing the 365 Day Happiness Challenge by PopSugar! The activities are super easy and this time I wrote about reading magazines. Sometimes it’s just hard to carve out some time to take care of yourself, but this challenge helps you do just that. Read about the other activities I’ve done for this challenge HERE
This week, I posted another outfit I put together on Polyvore that incorporates Pantone’s Color of The Year: Ultra Violet! I’ve posted about this color several times HERE
Isn’t that hilarious? ha! I didn’t want to get one that was too expensive in case I didn’t stick with it (see? I’m already assuming failure! What is that??!!) and I thought, if I’m getting a cheaper one, I’m getting it in pink!
Things I love about it:
- It’s pink
- It’s cheap
- It folds up
- It’s supposed to be easy to put together
- It’s supposed to be easy to move around
- I can do this at home
We will see if I can stick with it. I used to run a lot when I was younger and I liked it then. So, hopefully it will be enjoyable now. It will be delivered Tuesday and I am sure I will tell you all about it!
I’ve been really good about shopping lately. I mean, I only buy educational things so it’s okay, right?! I recently bought some stuff from Schoola.com because they were having a 3$ sale and I had a 60% off coupon on top of that! The items just finished coming in the other day, so I’ll have to do a Schoola Haul post for you. In the meantime, you can read all about shopping with Schoola.com HERE
But Spring is coming and it’s time to clean out this closet and add some new things to update my wardrobe. I can’t go crazy though, so I’ve been putting things on my Amazon wishlist. Want to see?
I mean, it’s kind of mandatory to have floral flats for spring, don’t you think? And this London scarf is just cool!
I’ve seen ads for these curlers all over Instagram and Facebook. I think they look fun! And, I bought a makeup organizer awhile ago, but I need some cups for my brushes. I think these would do nicely.
I think this sweater would look great over leggings. And the lace up front is totally a thing right now! This purse would be a great way to incorporate Pantone’s Color of The Year into an outfit!
I’ve had these tees on my wishlist for awhile now! I love basics with details that make them stand out! But the 80’s girl in me JUST LOVES these legwarmers!
Super cute, right? But I’m trying to decide if they’d look cute on me, or absolutely ridiculous! ha! There is no inbetween!
Last week I wrote a post with five items under 25$ that I though would be a cute way to update your wardrobe for spring. You can read about it HERE
These are also on my wishlist!
One big thing that happened this week was my daughter had another gymnastics competition. This was the last one she had before going to State. She won a first place on floor, second place on beam, fourth place on vault, and seventh on bars. And then she won second place All Around!
Is she not the cutest?! She’s been working very very hard, and we’re so proud of her!
So that was my week in a nutshell aside from schooling and all the after school activities the kids have…and all the coffee I consumed! ha! Are you ready for another week? Today, I will be cleaning up the master bedroom in preparation for my pink treadmill and that’s about it! I hope you had a super great weekend! And here’s to a great upcoming week! Let’s do this!
~Jamie
I love the bright top. I need to find one I love to wear. All my clothes are so neutral. Also love the hat.
