So, I’m watching The Chew one day, when Mario Batali whips ups this super simple meal. And it’s truly simple, not a recipe that chefs say is simple but has a million steps. It’s simple enough that I’ve made it a bazillion times here at home for lunch and dinner. The best part? My family adores it! I told my husband I was making it last night and he hummed over the phone! Ha!
Mario Batali’s Spaghetti with Fresh Tomato, Mozzarella, and Basil
Start with these super yummy fresh ingredients! (I grew the basil myself in my kitchen herb garden!)
Chop it up while the noodles are cooking!
Throw it in a pan! (I actually did the tomatoes first by accident! Oops! You’re supposed to put the basil in with the garlic and olive oil first and then the tomatoes. But mine still came out great! Just the tomatoes were more cooked than usual.)
Now you toss with the cooked spahgetti and mozzarella cubes! YUM!
To serve, I like to put more mozzarella cubes and parmesan on top!
Please, please click the link to hit Mario Batali’s website for the recipe because he has a video that shows just how beautiful this dish is! It’s super yummy! I actually doubled it so my family of seven could have seconds. ha! We love it that much!
If you end up trying this, send me a message and let me know!
