3 Mom Uniform Essentials #ootd

Hey there! Thanks for hitting my blog today! I’m just popping in here to give my perspective on the Mom Uniform (Momiform?) of leggings+tee+cardigan combo. I think we all fall into a general pattern, and for a mom, what’s an easier pattern to fall into than leggings?

But instead of leggings and an old tee shirt, this outfit is made public-worthy with a nice tee, cardigan, and boots. I added some flair with the scarf and puppy purse. (Yes, a purse that holds my puppy! Read more about it HERE)

This is a good example of an outfit made up almost entirely of basics. Who doesn’t own a tee, leggings, and sweater? But put together this way, it’s quite cute (if I do say so myself!) and comfy enough to chase after kids and puppies.

So, as much as I love to shop, I’m always keeping an eye out for cute basics that can be put together into many different kinds of outfits. I like basics with just a little touch of something extra, like these:

And I love these Plus-Sized versions! I’m at a weird size where I’m either the largest size in Women’s or the smallest size in Plus. So frustrating sometimes!

These are my favorite leggings at the moment! I love how the high waist holds me in while the details give them a little something extra:

Here are some of my favorite Plus Sized leggings. It’s not fair, but Plus sizes tend to cost more. However, don’t be afraid to pay a little more because you’ll get better material that won’t stretch out and look see through!

I love to wear a long cardigan over my tee and leggings because it’s cute, it’s warm, and it gives a little extra coverage for my bootay! The one I’m wearing is from Target last year and so it’s sold out. Here are some I love from Amazon:

Too bad the Plus Sized options don’t look as cute to me. And can we just talk about how brands say they carry plus-sized clothes when they only carry XL’s? SO frustrating!

With these three pieces, you can mix and match with your wardrobe to create endless outfits! I use my white tees so much they have to be replaced just about every year. Are there any other pieces you use all the time? I’d love to hear about it!
