365 Day Happiness Challenge: Day 1

Instead of a New Year’s Resolution this year, I decided to take on the 365 Day Happiness Challenge I found on Pinterest by PopSugar!

The first week of the challenge:

  • Day 1: Wear your favorite things.
  • Day 2: Sign up for a free exercise class.
  • Day 3: Rearrange your furniture.
  • Day 4: Start a gratitude journal.
  • Day 5: Bake a cake.
  • Day 6: Have a sleepover.
  • Day 7: Watch a funny YouTube video.

Well, the bummer is that I rolled into the New Year sick as a dog. So none of the things I had hoped to accomplish have even been started. But today is a new day! The reason why I chose the 365 day challenge is because I suck at resolutions, and knew I’d never keep one. I also know I’m not going to be able to do this challenge EVERY DAY. But I love having 365 options available to me to choose from for when I CAN do the challenge. I’m hoping to get around to this list about three times per week. That should leave a lot of options open for me while allowing me to skip the ones that don’t work.

Today is the first day for me (even though it’s already day three of the new year) and I think I’m going to start my gratitude journal first. I want to start things with a positive experience (as opposed to an exercise class! HA!)

This is my gratitude journal that I won in a contest on IG. I think God was trying to tell me something? ha!

I love the prompts inside. Because sometimes you’re not overflowing with thanks, and you need a little something to get you thinking.

My other journal is packed, so I can’t show you actual pictures. But I love this journal too because I love to sketch in it and the pages are so cute with the little journaling areas. (Not affiliate linked- I just REALLY love it!) 365 Day Thanksgiving Journal:

Do any of you keep a gratitude journal, or journal in some other way? I’d love ideas and inspiration! Let me know in the comments!
