Pantone Color of The Year: Ultra Violet

So Pantone has picked the color of the year, and I think I love it! Ultra Violet 18-3838 is bold and beautiful and will be a fun color to incorporate into your wardrobe and makeup.

If you’re looking to add this color to your makeup arsenal, you’re in luck because Butter London has teamed up with Pantone to bring you several shades of this beautiful color! I picked up a couple of them from Ulta to try so you can decide for yourself if you would like it or not!

I ordered two of the Plush Rush Lip Gloss in the colors Ultra Violet and Electric. I wasn’t bold enough to try the Ultra Violet in the Liquid Lipstick, but ordered Wild Orchid instead. Finally, I ordered the Ultra Violet nail polish. (See the rest of the makeup line HERE)

I tried on the Ultra Violet Lip Gloss and my daughter tried the Electric.

I’m not used to going so bold on the lip, but I really like it. Plus, the color blended in a lot more once it dried a bit. But I absolutely ADORE the color on my daughter!

I tried on two quick coats of the nail polish and I like it, but I think I’m going to go order Purple Rain next to see if I like that better. I’m a sucker for shimmers, what can I say?
