4 (Easy!) Thanksgiving Outfits for The Cook

IMG_4836

There are so so many cute outfits ideas for Thanksgiving on Pinterest! But since I’ll be cooking this year and since the kids will be helping me, I know I’ve got to wear something that I won’t cry about if it gets messy. (Plus, who are we kidding, I need some elastic, baby, for all that turkey I’m about to eat!)

Last year, I wore leggings as pants to Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws and I was sooooo glad I did!

The chambray top gives it a little structure and the scarf kept me snuggly…and let’s face it, the leggings gave me WAY breathing room. ha!

For this year, I’ve got a couple of outfit ideas in mind for the holiday.

Firstly, let’s stick with the leggings idea and add a black tunic and boots. When the family picture comes around, I can throw this scarf on to add a little something extra. It’s cute, right?

Or, if I’m in a jeans and tshirt kind of mood, I can wear some boyfriend jeans (with extra room and stretch!) and this cute Thanksgiving tee I found on Amazon! (As recommended by Get Your Pretty On) What if I added some fun holiday socks to the look and a nice, big cup of coffee to keep me going throughout the day? I think I like it!

If I’m feeling more like wearing a skirt (and that’s a BIG IF!) I think I’d go for this easy maxi skirt with a cozy sweater on top. Let’s face it, maxi skirts can feel like wearing pajamas and hey, I’m not afraid to admit that that’s basically my goal here! ha!

If you’re cooking Thanksgiving dinner for your family this year, what will you wear? (Cuz, that’s the most important question of the day! Ha!)  How does this even work? Will you change before dinner? So many questions. If you can help a girl out, give me some tips in the comments!
