I got this Tarte Rainforest of The Sea palette Vol. 2 this summer but I have this thing where I like to keep items as new as possible for as long as possible. Anybody else do that? So, here it is, November, and I’m just now trying out this palette.
The colors are just beautiful looking!
So, I tried a classic smoky eye with this palette. I’m a little bit of a newbie with smoky eye looks but I think I did pretty well!
I found that the mid colors weren’t super pigmented so I had to use a heavy hand with those in order to get it to show. I mistakenly assumed that the darkest blue color would be the same, but it came out super pigmented and my eyes turned out darker than I was going for. BUT! I like it! I just wish I had somewhere nice to go with my eyes looking like this! ha!
The colors were mostly blendable, however, not as much as the Naked3 palette by Urban Decay. All in all, I would buy this again because the case is SUPER cute and I was able to get a good smoky eye look from it!
What do you think? Anybody have this palette and love it?
