So you may not know already, but girl, I am cheap! Ha! I love the new trends coming up but I always wait a little while to buy because there is almost always a dupe that is much cheaper if you just keep your eyes open.
Case in point: These Steve Madden bow slides go for 40$ HERE
Well, let me stop you there. I know you’re thinking that’s not very expensive, and it isn’t. Until you realize that these are basically just embellished flip flops. Maybe this makes me really cheap, but with 5 kids, I need to cut costs wherever I can. So when I saw these Mossimo Supply dupes (22$! HERE ) at Target for half the price of the Steve Madden’s I snapped them right up.
Now, sure, there will be quality differences. I can already tell the material on the Mossimo slides is not quite as silky as the Steve Maddens. There is also a couple unfinished hems under the bows which have a couple of teeny strings on them. Not visable, of course, unless you’re looking for them.
But I can tell you that I’d rather wear these ones running around with the kids because I would legit ugly cry if I paid for Steve Maddens and one of my kids decided to destroy them. (spaghetti and mud, anyone?) Ha! It’s totally happened! Besides, these are JUST AS CUTE and I won’t be afraid to really wear them out like I need to.
The bonus is, Target is running all kinds of fall sales right now and card holders get another 5% off the price! Win/win!
