Fall Transition Outfits

Here in the south, we tend to have a warm and humid fall. Case in point, I have pictures of my kids wearing shorts on pretty much every Thanksgiving since we moved here! Yes, really! I really, really wish I could start wearing fall outfits like some of my blogger friends farther north! But! Living here presents a fun challenge of creating transition outfits that work both for the heat and for the feel of the fall season.

I created these two outfits using a mix of both summer and fall pieces. The bonus? Some are from the Nordstrom Anniversary and are back in stock!

This is still a simple combo: tee+shorts+flats with the added interest of a belt and leopard pattern.

These tees are ssuuppeerrr comfy! I’ve had a love/hate relationship with tees like this because they are usually too body hugging for me. But the material is whisper knit and has a semi- relaxed fit! You can still get them HERE for under 30$ and they come in 17 colors! Wowza!

But how about this bag?!

Unfortunately, this exact one is sold out. Boo! But here are some good substitutes that are just as good!

Cross-Body comes in two colors and is under 40$

Faux leather tote and wristlet comes in 3 colors and is under 50$

Braided Hobo comes in two colors, is pretty darned similar to mine, but is almost 60$. Boo!

This is my second fall transition outfit. What I love about this one is that it’s also a simple combo: skinnies+tee+sandals with a little something extra thrown on top. This is actually a sleeveless dress that I’m wearing open like a vest. I love it!
